Brandon Parrish and Jake Baumert Head West!

RiderSurance owner/broker Brandon Parrish and Jake Baumert are packing up and headed to Corona, California! All of this came about as the 2011 racing season came to an end. Brandon and Jake were at the 2011 Mammoth East MX race where Brandon was working the event [Jake was racing] and by the end of the weekend Brandon approached the Baumert’s with a plan for 2012 and beyond.

“The Baumert’s have been like family to me for half of my life. I have watched Jake grow up since he was 4 years old. That Saturday night at the 2011 Mammoth East race I was talking with Jake’s parents [Jay and Deanna] and they were telling me how Jake and his Mom were moving to California for the winter to train. That is when the ideas started rolling.” said Brandon.

Starting January 1st, 2012 Brandon and Jake joined forces. Brandon started managing Jake’s racing program and Jake started representing RiderSurance. Their mutually beneficial relationship involves implementing Brandon’s racing and business experience into their race program in order to gain maximum exposure on and off the track for all of our sponsors and to capitalize on every opportunity for Jake to get better.

With a year of history on the books everything has fallen into place as planned. Jake contended the A class all year making huge improvements in his riding and training, and Jake ended up with 5 top 10 finishes between the 250A and 450A classes at Loretta’s this past August.

A few more words from Brandon:

“My commitment to Jake and his family was to help him in every aspect of his racing career. Which as most of you know includes a lot hard work on both of our parts. Training off the bike at the gym, endurance work on the bicycle, nutrition, sponsorship, marketing, sponsor obligations, maintaining and managing the race bikes, mental preparedness, advice etc… the list just goes on [laughs]. So Jake and I are pleased to announce that for 2013 we have secured a title sponsorship agreement with a long time sponsor of both of ours; Bo LeMastus with Crosley Radio. He has really been a fundamental part of both of our careers since the beginning and we are very proud to be able to continue that relationship and step up our program in a huge way. In addition to that we secured an associate sponsorship agreement with Bee Line Courier Service out Louisville, Ky and we are pleased to announce that Jake will be contending the entire 2013 AMA Outdoor National Schedule! “

Looking into their program Jake and Brandon will be residing in Corona, California where they will also be leasing a race shop as well as getting a professional hauler to live and race out of as they head out in May 2013 for Jake’s first season as Professional Motocross racer!

A few words from Jake:

“I never thought I would finally be looking into my first season as a professional racer and it is hard to explain the feeling. The amount of gratitude I have for everyone that has gotten me this far I could never repay that, and I am truly at a loss for words. Looking forward I know this is not going to be easy and I have to prove to all of these people and companies that their time and investment in my future was well spent. As for our newly developed team, we will continue to learn and grow and get better every day. The pro races will be a new scene for me but I am excited at the challenge and looking forward to working hard so that we are as prepared as we can be coming into the new series. I want to give a special thanks to my parents, Bo LeMastus at Crosley Radio, Brandon Parrish with RiderSurance, Louie Seger from Bee Line Courier Service and everyone at CheapCycleParts.com.”

Thank you for reading and stay tuned for more updates!

CROSLEY RADIO

In 1920 Powel Crosley founded the company that pioneered radio broadcasting and mass market manufacturing around the world. Dismayed with the $130 price tag for the radio receiver he promised to buy for his son’s birthday, Crosley decided to make his own. Upon successfully building a working set for only $35, Crosley was quick to spot the mass market potential. It was a simple idea - design a fully functioning radio, meticulously craft each unit with obsessive detail and precise accuracy, and of course add a measure of consideration for the wallet.

Today the Crosley name lives on with superbly detailed replicas that truly transcend time. Reintroductions of original vintage radios and turntables feature the newest technologies graced by unforgettable Crosley stylings. The Crosley Collection includes AM/FM radios, portable suitcase - styled record players and turntables, record changers, multi- functional audio cassette/compact disc players, jukeboxes, music boxes, telephones and more. Rich lines, retro designs and authentic crafting have made Crosley today’s premier vintage electronics manufacturer. True to the Crosley tradition, these replicas are as fabulous as they are functional, providing a delightful dose of nostalgia.
